HUM:Global awards grants to four new Flagship Initiatives at the Humanities

We are delighted to announce that HUM:Global is awarding 40,000 DKK to four separate Flagship Initiatives in 2024/25.

The purpose of the Flagship Initiative funding is to facilitate and financially support the development of large-scale applications for projects, networks and/or centers, that HUM:Global researchers (PPG and Secretariat) are a part of.

This academic year, we received applications, from Tenure Track Assistant Professor Haakon A. Ikonomou (The Saxo Institute), Tenure Track Assistant Professor Fanar Haddad (ToRS), Associate Professor Georg Walter Wink (EnGeRom)and Associate Professor Jun Liu (KOMM), which covered a range of issues including global security, religion, right-wing extremism, and global digital communication.

As well as awarding 40,000 DKK to each applicant, HUM:Global will assist in the promotion of related events and dissemination of results and support the researchers in applying for large-scale funding for their Flagship Initiatives in the future.
